Blending classical and phratry elements from India with Western melodies and subtle pop sensibilities, Mpath is a collaborationism between producers Markus Mitchell and Gardner Cole. Mitchell has a long chronicle of producing worldbeat albums and Cole has issued several solo recordings as well as writing countable start hits, near notably "Open Your Heart" by Madonna. Their first album, Get together Rivers, was released in 2002 and featured performances from noted sarangi thespian Ramesh Misra, fiddler Lili Haydn, and sitar instrumentalist Indrajit Banerjee. The indorsement Mpath phonograph recording, Rover, was released the next year.
